Under the Oak Farm and so•ca are honored to present Roots for Reece: A Winter Harvest Dinner that will take place at so•ca in Raleigh, N.C. on January 7, 2018 at 6pm. This six-course charity dinner will benefit Roots for Reece, a fundraising group striving to build awareness and combat the growing opiate epidemic in North Carolina.

Sponsors for the special dinner include Firsthand Foods, Bauscher Hepp, Boxcarr Handmade Cheese, Fox Farm and Forage, and Harmony Ridge Farm. Special thanks goes to so•ca for providing the space to host the dinner and Under the Oak Farm for coordinating the following participating chefs:

About Roots for Reece
Founded in honor of the late Reece Byrd, Roots for Reece works with local non-profits like the North Carolina Harm Reduction Coalition (NCHRC) and Ben’s Friends to help raise money to end drug related deaths by using harm reduction tactics, encouraging support and providing alternatives via treatment to those struggling with opiate addiction. Reece was the best friend of chef Blake Gotliffe of Under the Oak Farm who himself, battled with opiate addiction for many years.
