Alpaca Chicken Serves as Presenting Sponsor for Gracefully Fit’s Strength Bowl Supporting Women in Cumberland County
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - January 27, 2026 - Alpaca Chicken proudly served as the Presenting Sponsor of Gracefully Fit’s Strength Bowl: Ladies Lift Night, a fundraising event benefiting Connections of Cumberland County, an organization dedicated to empowering women at risk of homelessness to achieve self-sufficiency and build brighter futures for their families.
Held as part of Gracefully Fit’s Lift Her Initiative, the event brought together women from across the community for an evening rooted in connection and purpose. Through ticket sales, donations, and community engagement, the Strength Bowl raised both funds and awareness for Connections of Cumberland County’s vital programs supporting women and children in need.
As part of its sponsorship, Alpaca Chicken donated over 150 freshly prepared plates, ensuring attendees were nourished while supporting a meaningful local cause. The Fayetteville-based restaurant’s involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to giving back and investing in the communities it serves.
“At Alpaca Chicken, community is at the heart of everything we do,” said Ranbir Bakhshi, co-owner of Alpaca Chicken. “Being part of an event that uplifts women and supports families right here in Cumberland County was incredibly meaningful to us. We’re honored to support Gracefully Fit and Connections of Cumberland County in their mission to create lasting, positive change.”
Connections of Cumberland County works closely with local partners to provide resources, education, and support systems that help women regain stability and independence while strengthening outcomes for their children. Gracefully Fit’s Lift Her Initiative, founded by Grace Bex, aligns fitness with service by transforming strength into tangible community impact.
“This event was months in the making, and Alpaca Chicken’s generosity exceeded anything we expected,” said Grace Bex, founder of Gracefully Fit. “We anticipated light refreshments at most, but Alpaca went above and beyond—providing every woman in the room with a full, thoughtfully prepared meal of chicken, rice, corn, and beans, delivered right when our attendees sat down to eat so it was hot and fresh. Their staff was incredibly kind and intentional, and the meal became a true highlight of the night.
Beyond the experience itself, the impact was significant. Through this event, we raised $750 for Connections of Cumberland County, brought meaningful awareness to domestic violence, and strengthened community ties by welcoming female officers from the City of Fayetteville—connections that are already leading to future collaborative events. Alpaca didn’t just feed our guests; they helped fuel a night that created real, lasting impact.”
Through sponsorships like Alpaca Chicken’s and the collective power of community involvement, the event highlighted the powerful impact that local partnerships can have in building a stronger, more connected Cumberland County.
