Village District Welcomes the 2025 Holiday Season
Celebrate the magic of the season with festive shopping, music, and community giving.
Raleigh, NC - November 6, 2025 – As a beloved Raleigh tradition, Village District is once again transforming into a sparkling holiday destination this season. The district’s highly anticipated Holiday Open House returns on Thursday, November 20th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., inviting families and friends to step into the Christmas Village for an evening filled with festive cheer.
Guests can enjoy professional photos with Santa, sip cocoa from a complimentary hot chocolate bar, and listen to live seasonal tunes performed by local musicians and roaming carolers. Children can stop by the letter writing station to craft their wish lists and send them straight to Santa, adding a touch of magic to the evening. With twinkling lights all around and the joyful energy of the holidays in full swing, it’s the perfect opportunity to embrace the spirit of the season while checking off your gift list at Village District’s many shops and boutiques. The Holiday Open House is free to attend and open to all.
Shoppers will also have the chance to earn a little something extra while they shop local. As part of a special Holiday Cash promotion, guests who spend $150 or more at Village stores during the event can bring their receipts to the Village District table to receive a $20 gift card, available while supplies last.
The celebration of community continues throughout the season with the Angel Tree program, running from November 11th through December 13th. Village District is proud to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Wake County, helping fulfill the holiday wishes of local children and teens. Participating stores, including The UPS Store, Bailey’s Fine Jewelry, Flying Biscuit Cafe, and winestore, will feature Angel Trees adorned with tags representing each child’s gift wishes. Shoppers are encouraged to select a tag, purchase gifts from the list, and return unwrapped presents with the tag attached by December 13th, spreading warmth and kindness across Raleigh this holiday season.
The holiday magic continues into December as Santa makes a return appearance for Reading & Photos with Santa at Barnes & Noble on Saturday, December 6th, and Sunday, December 7th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Families can cozy up as Santa reads Christmas tales, snap photos on their phones, and enjoy the joyful sounds of carolers and a pianist performing around the center. Guests are encouraged to share their festive moments on social media by tagging @shopvillagedistrict.
