Barsa New Indian Unveils Spring & Summer Menu

Barsa New Indian, downtown Durham’s modern Indian dining destination, invites guests to experience its newly launched spring and summer menu, an expression of the restaurant’s commitment to seasonality and innovation.

Rooted in a chef-driven philosophy, Barsa’s evolving menu highlights peak-season ingredients and regional Indian inspirations, reimagined through contemporary techniques and elevated presentation. Each dish reflects a balance of tradition and creativity, offering guests a fresh perspective on Indian cuisine with every visit.

The new seasonal menu introduces a vibrant lineup of dishes designed to capture the lightness and brightness of the warmer months. Highlights include:

  • Pears & Melon Chaat: a refreshing, layered dish with compressed fruit, tomato reduction and spiced chickpea pearls

  • Tellicherry Mushroom Roast: earthy mushrooms tossed in a bold black pepper masala with curry leaves

  • Shoreline Fried Oysters: crisp-fried oysters with Madras spices and ginger coconut sauce

  • Fisherman’s Moilee Trio: a coastal-inspired entrée featuring salmon, shrimp and clams in a silky coconut curry

  • Butternut Spring Kofta: delicate squash dumplings in a creamy, gently spiced malai gravy

In addition to new culinary offerings, Barsa continues to elevate the dining experience with a curated cocktail program and seasonal desserts, complementing the menu’s fresh, vibrant direction.
